Kolkata, February 2, 2022: The last few weeks have seen the tide turning against a connected worldwide mission to slap Covid-19 vaccine mandates on the unsuspecting public. This natural pushback against forceful mass use of an untested vaccine has been led by top scientists, doctors, experts, activists and critical-thinking commoners.
The first blow was dealt to US President Joe Biden by his own country’s Supreme Court in mid-January. The court ruled Biden’s regressive vaccine mandate for employees at big firms as unlawful. Biden openly sulked at the decision, but critical-thinking people had the last laugh in a country that is home to Big Pharma and profit-hungry vaccine makers.
The US Supreme Court judges, in a 6-3 decision, ruled that office-centric safety rules for major companies were too broad to be dictated directly by the US labour department.
“Covid-19 can and does spread at home, in schools, during sporting events, and everywhere else that people gather,” the majority of the judges wrote. “That kind of universal risk is no different from the day-to-day dangers that all face from crime, air pollution, or any number of communicable diseases. This is no ‘everyday exercise of federal power. It is instead a significant encroachment on the lives – and health – of a vast number of employees.”
Another major blow to the campaign to mandate the experimental coronavirus vaccine came this week when the under-pressure British government was forced to revoke compulsory jabs for its healthcare workforce – the NHS.
Sajid Javid, the health secretary, gave in to pressure from protesters, confessing in the UK parliament, “While vaccination remains our very best line of defence, I believe it is no longer proportionate to require vaccination as a condition of deployment by statute. I will launch a consultation on ending vaccination as condition of deployment in health and all social care settings. Subject to the response and the will of this house, the government will revoke these regulations.”
The decision came after weeks of tense protests in London, where NHS workers literally pitched tents outside the PM’s office to make him wake up to the reality. The vaccine mandate would have led to about 60,000 sackings of NHS staffers who have exercised their lawful right to say ‘no’ to the unproven jab.
In between, the so-called developed world is struggling to come to terms with an underreported crisis in Canada. The country’s regressive PM, Justin Trudeau, has gone into hiding to avoid facing 16,000-odd truckers who are protesting outside the parliament in Ottawa against vaccine mandates.
Canada has made it compulsory for all truckers crossing the US border to be jabbed against Covid. But the truckers have put their foot down, protesting and seeing their PM avoid facing them.
Stakeholders in the profit-focused Covid vaccine industry are constantly using governments, research bodies and the mainstream media to run down anti-Covid-jab voices as hesitant and unscientific. But the reality is just the opposite.

Covid-19 vaccines are experimental, they are unproven, and they are already triggering deaths and injuries as evident from what is openly shared on social media. There have already been disclosures, such as an explosion of cases of myocarditis in young, male vaccine recipients and cerebral strokes in healthy adults.
No wonder the wave of critical thinking people opposing mandates for a jab that’s not safe is getting bigger and making Big Government take a step back.
“The anti-Covid jab has failed to meet the basic requirement of a standard vaccine. Vaccines are meant to prevent transmission of a disease. But in this case, all the Covid-19 vaccines have failed miserably in doing that,” said Dr. Arvind Kushwaha, a top doctor at AIIMS, Nagpur.
Dr Kushwaha has closely been tracking the impact of Covid-19 as well as the vaccine on Indian children, and concludes that it’s farcical for authorities to try to mandate it for kids.
Many mainstream doctors and virologists now feel the coronavirus has lost its firepower. John Bell, professor of medicine at Oxford University, said in a recent interview that the storm has passed, which only means draconian rules such as mandates and lockdowns are no longer needed.
“The incidence of severe disease and death from this disease [Covid] has basically not changed since we all got vaccinated and that’s really important to remember,” he told the BBC. “The horrific scenes that we saw a year ago — intensive care units being full, lots of people dying prematurely — that is now history in my view and I think we should be reassured that that’s likely to continue.”
Top Indian epidemiologist, Dr. Amitav Banerjee, at the Dr D Y Patil Medical College in Pune, echoes the same opinion. “This [Omicron] strain of the virus is much milder as compared to previous variants, such as Delta. There have been fewer cases of hospitalisation with this variant.”
India has seen it’s share of pushback against mandates, although it’s not yet taken the shape of hundreds of thousands of people hitting the streets like it’s been happening in the West.
Court cases and level-headed advocacy by pressure groups have resulted in the government rethinking its stance. Recently, in a morale booster for people rightfully questioning the need for mandates, the government informed the Supreme Court that it is itself against the idea of compulsory Covid jabs.
In the coming days, much of the focus in the fight against mandates will be on Austria, the first European nation where vaccine mandates kicked in this week.
Anti-mandate protests have already rocked Austria, and they are raging in many other parts of the world, lifted by positive developments in US and UK.
