Tribal rights activist, lawyer and scholar Bela Bhatia’s name is on the Pegasus surveillance list. She is living and working among tribal people in Bastar, Chhattisgarh. She is also an independent researcher and writer, and has a doctorate from Cambridge University on the Naxal movement in India.

In this candid and extensive interview, Bela Bhatia opens up the raging issue of surveillance. She shares her concerns that like Stan Swamy, Varavara Rao, Rona Wilson, Sudha Bharadwaj, she too is vulnerable as she feels the state can persecute her anytime for any reason, if it wants to.
